Producing Quality Rat Terriers, American Hairless Terriers, and Teddy Roosevelt Terriers
Welcome to Kennessee Valley Kennels! We are a small kennel located in Southern Kentucky very close to the Tennessee state line. Rat Terriers, Teddy Roosevelt Terriers, and American Hairless Terriers make up our little kennel. Our breeding program is geared to produce sound healthy puppies, with loving playful dispositions true to the breed. Aiming for the Toy and Miniature size dogs. Our Moms are whelped with constant observation and 24 hour care. Puppies are handled daily and ready to join their new forever families when the time comes.
This chapter in our lives began in 2000. At that time I was looking for one little lap dog. After researching several of the smaller breeds we were still undecided. Then during a trip to Kentucky to visit friends we met their Rat Terrier, Maggie. Maggie sold us on the breed. This little dog was very affectionate and playful, AND she was wash and wear. Very low grooming requirements. A big plus for our country lifestyle. Our first Rat Terrier Jamie and her Sister Sydney came home to Wisconsin with us and turned into a true addiction. That would be the only warning I could pass on about these wonderful little companions. Rat Terriers are addicting, it’s hard to have just one! Since that time we have made our home in Kentucky.
